Did you know...  Lynn was the only HPR member to cut a perfect light in 2006!  Better yet... he did it twice! 

Here's another tidbit.... All of the HPR cars run on small tires except for Lynn's '68 Camaro!  The new Sheriff's Department car will also be tubbed when it's finished!

The Interceptor is a 1973 Camaro with a functioning light bar and siren.  It has a 475 cubic inch motor with Dart heads and a roller cam.  It also has an NOS Cheater nitrous oxide system and a Trans Brake. The car is driven by Officer Gary Meadows from the Redding Police Department and tuned by retired RPD Officer Ed Ochoa.  The Interceptor is capable of running high 9 second quarter miles at over 137 mph!

Coming soon!  The Shasta County Sheriff's Department sponsored '04 Crown Vic drag car!  It's gonna have a 460 cubic inch Ford motor, FE heads, a 2x4 Tunnel Ram, twin carbs, and a nitrous oxide system!  How about a tubbed rear end and an NHRA certed roll cage too!  Retired SCSO Sgt. Ed Niederberger will be running the program!

Bruce's 1968 Camaro has a stout 565 CI motor, a Turbo 400 Transmission, and a Ford 9" rear end.  The car is currently running low 10's and high 9's.... on motor only!  Bruce's car is tuned by Mike Ward, driven by Brian Williamson, and is sponsored by the Williamson Insurance Agency and Audio Illusionz!

Lynn's 1968 Camaro has a Steve Schmidt 585 CI motor, a full race Powerglide Transmission, and a Fab 9 rear end.  Lynn's car is the quickest of the HPR cars running consistent low 9 second quarter miles after yanking the front wheels off the ground!  No nitrous here... just raw horsepower!  Lynn's engine cranks out 1000+ ponies!

Micah's 1970 El Camino has a 565 CI motor linked to a Turbo 400 transmission and a GM 12 bolt spooled rear end.  This car runs consistent 10's on motor and is capable of much more when the NOS Big Shot system is activated!  Micah's car is sponsored by Drive Train Specialties in Redding.

Mark - Lead Crew Member

The HPR Team would like to welcome Mark as the Lead Crew Member for 2008.  Mark attends a local High School and enjoys playing sports and drag racing.  Mark plays basketball for his school and is a good student who participates in numerous school activities.  Anyone interested in working as a crew member this year should contact Mark for more information!
